Ed Latimore is an entrepreneur with a self-improvement business where he helps people learn how to control their mind, body, and emotions. Ed emphasizes the importance of mindset when starting a business by saying “If you take steps each day that make progress, you will suddenly have a winning mindset. Likewise, if your steps cause you to make a mistake or suffer, then you will start to doubt yourself.” One thing that most people don’t realize is that your actions shape your mindset and if you work hard everyday to make progress and reach your goals, you will find success.

Ed Latimore has paved the way for future entrepreneurs by showing that you can learn something from everything you go through in life, and it is what you do with this knowledge that will make you powerful. “This is also why grit and resilience are important. It is inevitable that you will mess up along the journey of building your own business. You will lose money, waste, time, and overestimate yourself. But as long as you have grit and resilience forged from taking action, then you are on the path to success.”

Ed stresses the importance as an entrepreneur to have a growth mindset as opposed to a fixed one. He says that the most powerful belief you can have is that given enough time, you can learn anything. We live in a world where all the information in the world is at our fingertips constantly through technology, and anyone is capable of taking action on this to grow their knowledge. Ed says “There is no talent. There is no luck. There is simply a willingness to take action, pick yourself up when you fall, and learn from your mistakes along the way. If you do this, it is impossible to not be successful.”

Ed Latimore’s advice for those trying to start their own business and brand is to get life experience and skills in the industry you are interested in getting into. “People listen to you and trust you more if you have accomplished something or have experienced making moves and progress. This is the single biggest issue that people have when it comes to starting a business.” One of the key things to do as an entrepreneur is to always know what your next step is, have a goal you are working towards, and do something every single day to help yourself get there.

Ed emphasizes the importance of being proficient and skilled in at least one or two areas of your business. The reasoning for this is that this inspires people to spend money on your services, trust you and your brand, and work with you to multiply and further leverage your efforts. He explains this as “Sure, you can hire people to do all the work and put a face on the business that isn’t yours, but it takes so much money and makes you replaceable. Being well-versed in areas of your business allows you to be more involved and present in the business.” To follow Ed Latimore’s self-improvement blog and learn how to control your mind, body, and emotions, click here
