If there’s one thing all the great entrepreneurs have in common, it’s that they’ve not come by what they’ve got easily. Delianna, now a successful salon owner, model, and entrepreneur, was certainly no different.
Delianna came to the US at 14 and was thrown in at the deep end when she started at Richmond Hill High School in Queens, New York. Unfortunately, her years as a high school student weren’t easy, and at one low point had to live at a New York City shelter due to the hard life she had come from, and the financial problems her siblings were going through.
Many young people unfortunately don’t overcome these circumstances, but Delianna has always been different. Delianna’s innate drive, motivation, and ambition allowed her to look at the big picture, and look at what she had that she could use to her advantage.
For Delianna, that meant using her intelligence to take advantage of her beauty, and exotic physique. Delianna has a figure most men and women would die for, and so she knew she could make money in modeling.
So Delianna quickly found her niche in modeling in music videos because she naturally fitted in with the aesthetic many in Hip Hop, Rap, R&B, and similar genres wanted to create.
Delianna has appeared in the music videos of artists like Jeremiah, Fabolous, Bobby Shumurda, 2 Chains, the Migos, The Weekend, 50 Cent, Rick Ross, Jason Derulo, and even the incredible and world-famous rapper Kanye West, husband of Kim Kardashian, who has a similar body type and look to Delianna.
Of course, being in the music videos of these superstars gave Delianna the fame and recognition she desired. She became a sought after model, and featured in photoshoots with megastars such as the aforementioned Kim Kardashian.
However, Delianna will be the first to tell you that fame and recognition alone won’t pay the bills, and you’ve got to have the right business mindset to take advantage of it. During this time, she worked as a waitress at one of the biggest clubs in NYC, where wealthy customers would come to have a good time and relax. The tabs were high, and the tips were equally so – Delianna remembers tips being up to $20,000 a night!
Delianna was already a far cry from the young girl who had to spend nights sleeping in the NYC shelters, but there was plenty more in store for her.
Delianna’s next move was to invest in an upscale nail salon in Inwood, New York. There, she served many of the same clients she had at the night club, as well as her co-workers.
Despite her high-class clientele, her salon still has prices that allow the average New Yorker to get their nails done at Le Crème Nail Spa. Since its opening in 2018, the salon in the center of Dyckman St. has grown from strength to strength, and has succeeded from month one. In fact, in that first month they had the honor of doing the nails of the incredible Cardi B.!
Despite all this success, Delianna is still one of the most humble women you will ever meet, and continues to work incredibly hard every single day. She clearly has a plan for how she will achieve even further greatness in her lifetime, while giving back to her community.
When the COVID-19 pandemic hit New York City, one of the worst-hit cities in the US, she didn’t wait for the storm to pass. Instead, she ensured no one would go hungry, and made sure that families in need were fed, borough by borough. This is just one of the kind acts Delianna has done for others.
