Founder profiles are usually written backwards. The company works, so the origin story gets tidied into a straight line — the insight, the leap, the inevitable outcome. Almost nothing here reads that way, because almost nobody built that way.

This section collects the people, not the press releases. An electrician who dropped out of high school and ended up buying an electrical contracting company outright. A developer who launched more than seventy products, watched over 95% of them fail, and now lives on the four that did not. A founder who built with no co-founder, turned down every VC who called, and sold to Wix for $80 million. A woman who arrived in the US at fourteen, spent part of high school in a New York City shelter, and opened her own salon.

What they share is not a playbook. It is the willingness to keep going past the part of the story nobody puts in the deck. Where a founder has said something on the record about how they did it, we quote them and cite where they said it; where a number is unconfirmed, we say so rather than round it up.
